Russell, the founder of R.James Landscapes first discovered a love for gardens when his mum asked him to lay a patio aged 14. This quickly developed into his chosen career path and after attending the esteemed Merrist Wood College for horticulture, he swiftly settled as a Team Leader at a top landscaping company. Since then Russell has received recognition for his contribution to the world of landscaping by winning the prestigious APL 'Young Landscaper of the Year' award in 2015. He was also acknowledged in the 2015 Pro-Landscaper magazine feature 'Look Out For....' and later recognised as one of the '30 Under 30' people making an impression on the industry in 2016. Shortlisted for the Pro Landscaper Small Project, Big Impact Award 2021 for The Lodge Garden.
